sengkang sculpture by Nor Salman
sengkang sculpture, a photo by Nor Salman on Flickr.

I have driven past this sculpture for the many years I have send Adam for his swimming lessons. Yet today, and thanks for the photo challenge, I actually stopped and have a closer look at it. Using the 40mm m mount, I could only capture a part of it. And I have to say, I like the form and lines that emanates from this piece. I also like the character produced by this lens as well.

This lens, although I am beginning to fall in love with it, does have its short comings. First of all, its tiny. I have constantly check that my fingers are at the correct rings. Many times, i will change the aperture when I wanted to refocus. But that is just a minor inconvenience.

The more major gripe is the MFD. Its about 0.8m far! Yes, thats far. It pains me to say this, but I don't think this general lens is good for food photography. Will take pictures.
